Dear Student/ Parents

Krishna IAS, an academy with difference known for caring guidance, conducive atmosphere and extra ordinary results is a renowned academy for coaching in Competitive exams. Krishna, an abode of excellence in the Civil Services Examination was set up with the avowed aim of giving a new direction.

Over the years the contours of trends of Competitive exams have undergone a change. There has been a paradigm shift in the course contents. The competition has grown stiffer and now poses greater challenges. The institute has given a new direction to the teaching pedagogy-it has propounded new formulae of success-And it has been incessantly shouldering new responsibilities in order to support the students. The institute is committed to bring the quality coaching in Chandigarh, which the city was earlier deprived of.

Nurturing talents and producing extra ordinary results, the principal objectives of this venture are to organize classes, integrating lectures on compulsory subjects & popular optional subjects, quality enrichment programs, orientation classes, tests, exclusive seminars on how to prepare, and interview sessions for the Civil Services Examination.

As regards past performance , we proudly announce the splendid results by our students. The institute has given birth to a cult entrepreneurship, trying out new ways of doing things, not only from academic stand point but also taking overall responsibility for the success of the candidates. Entrepreneurship is not restricted to business alone-here entrepreneurship is desirable and important in making preparation.

In this Age of cut throat competition every mark matters. It is therefore recommended to go for sincere and disciplined hard work under the guidance of competent and dedicated teachers of the institute.

Although the exam conducted by the upsc is a heavy curriculum based examination, little importance is given to the past academic credentials of the candidate ( the eligibility being merely graduation in any discipline from a recognized university). Apparently the impetus is on the qualities and attributes which a candidate is expected to possess in order to be a civil servant.

The commission has implicitly stated that the exam is intended to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service. The test is not only an assessment of the candidate’s intellectual qualities but also social traits and interest in current affairs. Various qualities such as mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgement, variety of depth of interest, ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity are focused upon. The candidate is expected to write around 5000 words in a limited time span of three hours.

The question asked are not direct but opinion based and dynamic which require conceptual clarity, assimilation and thorough processing of information.

Building up such a thought process requires inputs from various disciplines, thorough readings, regular updates, expert opinions, fine tuning, practice and cross examination. The process usually takes a time span of around two years.

Given the limited time frame and the magnitude of the examination the institute offers the candidate various benefits such as:

  1. Building conceptual clarity in a relatively short span of time.
  2. Ensuring consistency and developing perseverance.
  3. Confidence building through sufficient practice.
  4. Time management.
  5. Proper Guidance from experienced teachers.
  6. Nurturing competence through test series.
  7. Periodic interaction with successful candidates.

The institute condemns the practice of spoon feeding and commits itself to impart quality education. As quoted by Sir Albert Einstein – “Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learnt in the school.”

Finally its only through the candidate’s high standard of integrity perseverance and competence the institute can assure sure shot success in the civil services examination.
